The Comanche Nation Tax Commission serves the Lawton, Oklahoma community and surrounding tribal jurisdictional areas through comprehensive governmental and financial services. Operating from their office in Lawton, the Tax Commission exercises tribal sovereignty by administering a diverse range of essential services designed to build and maintain a solid tax base that funds critical tribal programs. The Commission manages vehicle tag registration and documentation, processes business licensing applications including TERO vendor licensing, and oversees oil and gas operator licensing. Their enforcement and management division monitors TERO operations with contractors while protecting the intellectual property rights associated with the Comanche Nation Seal. The Tax Commission collects multiple revenue streams including oil and gas severance taxes, sales taxes, TERO taxes, liquor taxes, tobacco taxes, motor fuel taxes, lodging taxes, and various transaction fees.
