About Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center

Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center (COTRAIC) is a comprehensive service organization dedicated to supporting the Native American community and individuals experiencing economic difficulties in the Greater Pittsburgh, PA metropolitan area. Operating from a 23-acre campus in Dorseyville, Pennsylvania, COTRAIC provides an extensive range of programs designed to address both immediate and long-term needs of the families and individuals it serves.

The organization offers Native American employment and training services through its WIOA program, providing job training, placement assistance, and counseling for Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians age 18 and older. COTRAIC also operates robust early childhood education programs, including Early Head Start services for pregnant women and families with children up to age three, as well as Head Start and PreK Counts preschool education for children ages three through kindergarten entry.

Beyond educational services, COTRAIC addresses critical community needs through the Greater Hazelwood Family Center, which supports families in surrounding neighborhoods with child development and resource connection services. For seniors, COTRAIC's Elders Program assists with housing applications, medical benefits, Social Security, and supportive services to maintain independence and quality of life.
