Southern California American Indian Resource Center, Inc. (SCAIR) is a comprehensive service provider dedicated to supporting Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Hawaiian Natives, and their families throughout San Diego and Ventura Counties from our base in El Cajon, CA. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based tribal organization established in 1997, SCAIR delivers a full spectrum of career development, educational support, cultural programming, mental health services, and comprehensive supportive assistance designed to help participants overcome individual barriers and achieve their personal and professional goals.

SCAIR's service offerings include career counseling and workforce development through the Native NetWORKS Program, which provides assistance with trade schools, apprenticeships, and on-the-job training opportunities on a case-by-case basis. The organization also facilitates access to educational pathways and scholarship information, helping participants explore college options and funding opportunities. Additionally, SCAIR administers the Tribal TANF program, which offers training and support services for eligible participants pursuing educational and career advancement. Emergency services assistance is available through specific programs for those meeting eligibility requirements. With experienced Senior Advisors on staff, SCAIR also connects community members with Native American speakers and performers for cultural events and educational gatherings. Operating under the authority of P.L. 93-638, the Indian Self Determination and Education Act of 1976, SCAIR remains committed to addressing the unique needs of Native American communities in El Cajon and throughout the region.
